Toronto – one of the largest cities in
North America, the financial capital of Canada, the most populous and

Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, first-time visitors

1. Central Toronto
Central Toronto includes the downtown district and its immediate

Market and Harbourfront Centre.
2. East Toronto
East Toronto is further divided into several districts including
Greektown, Leslieville and the trendy neighborhood called The Beach
along Queen Street East. Another gem of a tourist find here is Little
India where shops and restaurants with a Southeast Asian flair can be
found.
3. West Toronto
When you venture to this part of Toronto, you will see just how
multi-cultural Canada is. There are places in the district called
Little Italy and Little Portugal where you can find traces of these
country's cultures which mixed with that of the Torontonians. High
Park is a must-visit site in West Toronto.
4. North Toronto
The best way to visit North Toronto is to immerse yourself in the
local culture as you enjoy the shops, restaurants and cafes in the
area. Check out the Ontario Science Centre, the Alexander Muir
Memorial Gardens and Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
5. Toronto Islands
Also known as the Toronto Island Park, this is a small island chain in
the Toronto harbor where you can visit Ward's Island, one of the
oldest residential communities in the district. You should also check
out Hanlan's Point Beach and the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse.
6. Other Districts in Toronto
North York, York, East York, Etobicoke and Scarborough are the other
districts which make up the entire city of Toronto.
