Toronto

Toronto – one of the largest cities in North America, the financial capital of Canada, the most populous and a popular tourist destination. These are just some of the things that the provincial capital of Ontario is known for, but the vast city offers so much more. What started out as a backwoods English trading post in the late 1700s has grown into one of the most interesting places to visit today.

Exploring Toronto's Districts

Located on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario, first-time visitors to Toronto might be confused when deciding where they need to venture out for travel opportunities due to the vastness of this mega-city. To help you out, here is a list of the major districts which comprise Toronto, as well as some of the travel highlights in the area:

Central Toronto includes the downtown district and its immediate vicinity. Central Toronto is home to the CN Tower, one of the modern Seven Wonders of the World. Other tourist spots here include the shopping haven Eaton Centre, the Waterfront, Allan Gardens, Kensington Market and Harbourfront Centre.
